"Meet me half way"- Khyrstyna and Rafael Coral Gables Congregational church and Westin Colonnade
I love working with destination brides, I feel they fully give me the opportunity and trust to orchestrate their wedding day from afar. Khrystyna a recent graduate and a physician assistant in the OR and Rafael a surgeon both live in NYC, and since they both had extremely busy schedules we had late night text message exchanges almost daily. (I miss those texts today) To my surprise she often now assists her now husband in the O.R. "amazing"!!
Khrystyna family is from Ukarian and Rafael is from Columbia. Amazing blends of culturals and Khrystyna wanted to incorporate the travel theme to her wedding so we went with a "Meet me half way" theme which fit both their families well. It was so neat to see how we incorporated elements from both cultures at this wedding, from the grooms mom unveiling the bride's veil (a Ukarian tradition) and a tipico (typical) cumba style "Hora Loca" bringing in authentic dancers from Columbia and the groom sister surprised them as one of the dancers herself. This wedding was extremely fun to put together and not to mention the amazing vendor team at hand that made this entire day flow flawlessly. This amazing wedding was also featured on Borrowed and Blue recently.
