Alexandra and Richard - Hotel Colonnade

If you've followed me for some time now either through this blog or on social media channels then you will understand what my clients mean to me. This is one of those clients that will literally forever hold a place in my heart. Alexandra came recommended from a grade-school friend and when we met we just hit it off instantly. I met with Alex, Richard and her father Mr. Berg. (Whom I can just sit here and rave about forever). Alex and I planned her wedding for a little over a year also and I can strongly sit here and say that when I get the opportunity to plan with my couples for their "Full Planning" experience, I truly get to know them, the families and like Alex says now, I am no longer her wedding planner but family. As a planner, this is my goal and privilege. It's a beautiful thing to do what I do and, because I get to meet so many beautiful people but, I also get to be a part of someone's most important day.  The night of Alex and Richard's wedding, Mr. Berg told me something that will forever remain in my heart. He told me that I have a beautiful job and I asked him why Mr. Berg and he said "because your job is giving others their dream" "You're the dream maker."

It stayed with me and he is so right, we do plan "dreams" we commit to giving clients their dream weddings. I am very fortunate to do what I do and be a part of these milestones. Alexandra has the most beautiful, genuine and pure heart of gold. She is always smiling and never angry, Our planning days she was always smiles and looked for the best if any solutions arise. Richard is very calm, cheerful and sweet which is why I believe they are both made for one another.

As we got closer to the wedding, we had tons of vendor meetings and Mrs. Berg always attended these. Alex and Richard have such a beautiful support system. Mrs. Berg is just like her Daughter cheerful, caring and the sweetest. I can sit here and say this has been one of the best families I've had the honor of planning with.

Alexandra wedding took place at Hotel Colonnade with an amazing vendor team that put together Alexandra vision to perfection. Florals were by Natinel flowers, Decor and linens by Leyanni. Tony with Infinity Sound Productions put together all the lighting, DJ and live musicians which created a great vibe through the night. Photography by Ricky Stern which is pretty amazing and a delight to work with. Video productions by Cutting Desk Productions which always, always, always give their max efforts in making our clients top priority.
Our gorgeous cake was by none other than ET Cakes. Invitations by The Invitation Stand who created a complete custom Invitation for this wedding. Bridal Glam by Avant Garde.

There's no greater joy as a planner to see your clients happy and enjoying their wedding to the fullest. Alex and Richard wishing you too the best today and always. Alex you will forever be a part of my heart....

I love when I am given the opportunity to assist in getting my brides dressed, they are so stressed and nervous at this point that it's great to be there as a calm and to help ease the nerves with some good laughs.

  1. There is a humbling feeling you receive as you go to venues like this. A sweeping era of romance was born here, and it's clear why. One of the most beautiful New York wedding venues I have visited anywhere in God's beautiful World and I have been nearly everywhere imaginable!
