Emma and Frank St. Jude Catholic Church and Sofitel Hotel

My sweetest Emma and Frank, I had the pleasure to plan these two love birds from the very start of their wedding planning. During our journey god blessed these two with the most adorable little boy. Emma and I worked very closely and she was a true delight and always enjoyed times spent with me. It's so nice when you can work so closely to a couple and gain a friendship out of the planning process and these two did just that. I am happy to have planned and witness this beautiful union. Their nuptials took place at the gorgeous St. Jude Catholic church followed by a vintage-glam reception at the "magnifique" Sofitel Hotel working alongside with Photography by John Paul Soto, Infinity Sound Productions on the ones and two's with a beautiful glow of lighting with a magical pattern wall. Leyani with lace trim linens and Elements and Accents provided the chairs and decor elements. I, incorporated a mix of books, mercury candles, signs and vintage vases from our own inventory to set the feel for our vintage-inspired affair. Sit back and enjoy some of the images from their gorgeous wedding. To view more pics please visit www.johnpaulsoto.com

These particular images were captured by one of my own team members and these are perfect behind the scenes of what I truly love about my job. I look forward to this particular moment with each of my brides, The moment she arrives before walking down the aisle. I have my alone time with her and yet she is so nervous, I find many ways to calm her down rather its telling her a joke or just giving her my most heart-felt advice and I have a few tricks I use to help them calm those nerves that I am known for. This is what makes my job not a job but a true passion.

Fall wedding trends- Yellows, Grays, rustic and sunflowers

My favorite time of the year is just upon us. I love the fall season. Weather is nice, everyone is cheerful and giving and it's absolutely a must to be outdoors. Speaking of outdoors these are the perfect months for out door weddings.

For Fall there's so many options and ideas to create a fall theme wedding. You can go the shabby chic route (which I will showcase on this blog) or you can go the Fall in love route (which I will also showcase). On both design inspirations I collected images with yellows and sunflowers. I feel yellow is such a beautiful color and we don't see it so much in weddings. It's a soft color and goes perfectly with gray or black. Here are a few inspirations I gathered from on-line resources to provide you with some neat and cool ideas for the Fall season.

These are my gray and yellow with touches of Sunflowers for a fall wedding inspiration. I love how the gray sets the tone of elegance yet we still have a shabby chic wedding feel with the yellow and of course the rustic elements and if you are going with a rustic-country theme can't go wrong with some cowgirl boots for your bridesmaid, totally trendy right now.

Now, I will show you a more vibrant approach to using a fall theme with a "Fall in love" theme.

Do you see some similarities? Of course, because they each go hand in hand what I just collaborated on this particular inspiration was the darker tones in colors, pumpkins since it goes with the theme still giving my inspiration a rustic shabby chic feel. Enjoy! Hope I gave you all a few ideas on how to play with a fall theme weddings. Hint: Yellow is known as the color for peace. What a blessing to start a marriage with such a meaningful color and Sunflowers are Gifts of radiant warmth, sunflowers are the happiest of flowers, and their meanings include loyalty and longevity.
