Xavier and Jessica- Siempre Scruggs- Villa Woodbine
You can say "It all started at the Ball Park" Jessica grew up going to baseball games with her family. She was a senior in College and in the brink of graduating but came home to West Palm Beach, Florida to visit her family. You see Jessica spent a lot of time at the ball park with her brother as her brother was a ball player. No spring breaks, summer breaks or even weekends they were always at the Ball Park. So one day back in May of 2011 her friend asked her to go with her to the ball park, Jessica rolled her eyes (yet another game) but as a good friend she went that day. Little did she know her life was about to change... By the Grace of God and good old social media, she and Xavier connected and the rest is History from there. Xavier Scruggs is now a Major League Baseball player whom has played for the St. Louis Cardinals and recently his talents were brought to the Miami Marlins. Jessica Scruggs is a National director in sales so both have fast pace careers. They dated for 5 and a half years and last winter Xavier flew in a few days early and proposed to Jessica on 12.27.15 at the Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
When Jessica and I first met she told me she wanted an outdoorsy wedding feel with lots of greenery, accents of both metallics of gold and silver tones. Their wedding took place at the gorgeous Villa Woodbine located in Coconut Grove, Florida on December 16th, 2016. Planning from Tampa and California at times, Jessica and I became very close friends and we worked extremely close on logistics and detail planning for her overall look and feel with an Elite vendor team.
Jessica and Xavier went with a mix style of Restoration Hardware meets Anthropology.
We used the same space for both ceremony and reception and we had an hour’s time to conduct a room flip. We created a grass hedge wall with their initial in the middle for ceremony and became the backdrop to their sweetheart/royal table setting. During ceremony behind the wall we had all the tables and chairs in position so when it came to doing the room flips we just had to bring out the tables and push back our wall. We combined mix chairs from X-Back to Ghost chairs.
Jessica wore a Berta Gown with Jimmy Choo shoes and Xavier wore a suit from Suits Supply.
Details to just die for... Each guests received at the entrance a welcome serenade by a Spanish Guitarist, once you entered the villa each guests received and escort agate rock place card. Moving into the dining room we had a Donut and Coffee sign with some yummy donuts.
Into the reception space guests were taken away by the unique centerpieces and pure beauty of all the greenery at the Villa.
These two love birds had the most beautiful and most memorable experience.
