FIU-Internship luncheon May 3rd, 2014

This year I was given the opportunity to become one of FIU-Hospitality management student mentors. Its been an amazing journey taking the students from this program under my wing and showing them what an amazing industry this is. After our busy wedding season came to an end, I treated the ladies to a lunch appreciation for all their hard-work and dedication to the amount of hours they spent working these events alongside with my team and myself. I was honored to touched these ladies life one way or another.

Jaynie and Jeff's- Tamara & Co wedding 4-19-14

It's always an honor when one of my past students contacts me and wants me to assist and coordinate with their wedding plans. Jaynie was one of my past students at MDC while she was studying for Event Management she took my Wedding Planner course back in 2008. Throughout the years we have stayed in contact and when she reached out to me last year to coordinate her wedding, I was more than honored. Jaynie and Jeffry had a Tiffany themed wedding well (Tamara & Co.) Is what we will call it. We put together detail by detail and vendor by vendor in less than a year. We went with an all white wedding theme with bling elements and just added accents of the Tiffany blue with the stationary decor elements provided by non other than the brilliant Gretel with the Invitation Stand. Xavier and Jessica- Siempre Scruggs- Villa Woodbine

You can say "It all started at the Ball Park" Jessica grew up going to baseball games with her family. She was a senior in College and in the brink of graduating but came home to West Palm Beach, Florida to visit her family. You see Jessica spent a lot of time at the ball park with her brother as her brother was a ball player. No spring breaks, summer breaks or even weekends they were always at the Ball Park. So one day back in May of 2011 her friend asked her to go with her to the ball park, Jessica rolled her eyes (yet another game) but as a good friend she went that day. Little did she know her life was about to change... By the Grace of God and good old social media, she and Xavier connected and the rest is History from there. Xavier Scruggs is now a Major League Baseball player whom has played for the St. Louis Cardinals and recently his talents were brought to the Miami Marlins. Marilyn & Rob's Wedding

I have to admit Marilyn and I hit it off the second she came to see me to assist her with her wedding plans. Throughout her planning process we built a bond and an everlasting friendship. She is an amazing and kindhearted person and I am so happy she met a man like Rob to share all her good qualities . Marilyn & Robert exchanged wedding vows at Plymouth Congregation Church in Coconut Grove, Fl. Marilyn's wedding dress was simply the most amazing and different Mermaid style dress, I have ever seen. It was very modern and chic and fit Marilyn perfect. The bushing bride arrives to Plymouth to meet Robert at the altar. The very talented Trevor Goldsmith capture this beautiful picture of Marilyn and all her bridesmaid's walking inside the church.
