Instructor Spotlight

I must rave about it. Wedding Planning Institute is doing Instructor Spotlights on their Instructor's and the below Bio is my Spotlight (Which Sandra did an amazing job with) When I read this I wanted to cry. It couldn't describe me any better. Enjoy!

Jessica Estrada is a Certified Wedding Planner as well as a Certified Instructor for WPI. Jessica began her journey planning parties for her friends QuinceaƱera celebrations. She would often assist in planning the party as well as the dance choreography for these elaborate events. Six years have now passed since she began running both of her companies, A Classic Affair and Jessica’s Events. They are both full service event planning companies specializing in “Day-of Coordination”.

Jessica derives a great deal of pleasure by helping Brides gain control of the most important day in their lives. Knowing that she helps relieve stress and restore order to what can be an otherwise chaotic day for the Bride is part of her motivation. Jessica is a dedicated self-starter that is proud to be her own boss. She has enjoyed event planning and the party atmosphere for as long as she can remember. Jessica has a wonderful eye for small details and captures them in fabulous photos that can be viewed on her website. http://www.jessicasevents.net/

It is her firm belief that earning a certification sets you apart from others if you are searching for a career in event planning. In this competitive industry anyone can claim they have event planning experience. Earning your certification is important because it means you took the time to gain the knowledge and learn from a professional. There are many things that the WPI course offers and teaches those that are looking to begin a career in Wedding Planning. A Bride always likes to know your qualifications and that she can trust you with her wedding day. She is such a firm believer that she became an instructor for WPI and has been teaching a wedding planning course for the past three years. This way she can share her first-hand knowledge with others and continue to pass along her expertise.

In Jessica’s class she imparts her knowledge of event structure, flow of events, how to market your new business and her list of Do’s & Don’ts. She enjoys knowing that once her students graduate she has helped open doors of opportunity for future event planners. She reminds them to think big and don’t expect things to happen overnight.

“Patience and dedication to your business is the key and if you continue to follow your dreams of running a successful planning business, big things will come.” Jessica Estrada, CWP
Jessica is continuing her own education by pursuing a degree in Hospitality and plans to open her own reception hall in the future. Wedding and event planning are her passion and why not study what she loves the most?

In these difficult economic times, some brides are looking to plan an event that is more economical. For some ideas on how to achieve this goal Jessica recommends the following article by Colin Cowie of GetMarried.com: http://www.weddingplanninginstitute.com/blog/2009/02/24/get-married-on-a-budget/
