Jessica's Events Gives back to the community yearly contest

It's that time of the year again! Tis' the season that we give back to our community. Our annual Jessica's Events giveaway contest will be very different this time.

The past 2 years we have either given away a service of some sort or just given away our candy stations BUT, this time 2013 gives back contest has a twist.
I know most contest on Facebook are conducted with a photo submission and getting votes on your photo which honestly most of the time creates drama...

Therefore, our contest has a meaning behind it instead of not only winning our services this time we give back to "The make a wish foundation" a percentage of what your free services will be.

Having said that! This contest requires "SERIOUS ONLY INQUIRES"
Please share with us the story behind your wedding. What we are looking for are the following:
  • What struggles you faced to plan this wedding?
  • Why is this wedding so special for you?
  • what is the importance of making this wedding happen?
  • Why is this day so important to you?
  • Is their a purpose to your wedding? Lost a family member?, losing a job?, starting a family?, dealing with an illness?.
We want to know what and why should we give you this free planning service? You must be able to answer all the questions.

Submissions requirements:

  • Story or essay format of your storyline
  • Photo as a couple and/or family will be posted with your story
  • Date and location for your wedding
  • All your contact information necessary
** All submissions must be received by email to: eventsbyjessica@aol.com by 1/19/13**

We will review all submissions and post all stories on our blog for the voters view.

How this works?

We will review your story and pick the BEST story, our fans, friends, co-workers and vendors will also review your story and pick the best one!
Contest will begin on 1/28/13 and run until 2/14/13. The winners will be announced via our blog and face book pages! We will email the winner and rules on how to claim your free services.

Our "Full Event Planning Package" Yes that's right you will have a Free Planner not just a "Day of" planner you get everything... Sources to our vendors, endless communication with us and planning, planning, planning!!!!

Small Business Saturday Specials!

In lieu of Small Businesses just like ours we have extended our Black Friday specials till tomorrow evening! Be sure to check out these specials below and book or upgrade today! These specials will be available till tomorrow at 8 p.m. (central time) Be sure to not miss out!!





"Day of" Special:


This year we are offering a special "Day of" price for new clients only! Between 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. we are offering our $1,000.00 Day of package at 50% off that's right for only $500.00



What's included you ask?! Here are the details....





*One meeting to get to know clients and go over details for wedding.



*One meeting to go over wedding logistics and put together final details



*6 hours of event day coverage until the beginning of dinner service



*Reception only coordination (Ceremony and Rehearsal not included in this special)



*Oversee and assure all formalities are happening accordingly to timeline such as Grand Entrance, First dances, Toast dinner, etc, etc...





*Contact off site vendors before wedding and introduce ourselves and let them know we will be in charge the day of your wedding.



*Provide a time line of Grand Entrance, First dances, Bouquet & Garter toss and Cutting of the cake. (Given to all vendors to follow and assure a smooth flow of the event)



*Assist guest with finding their tables, greet and welcome them to your event.



*Direct Guest to sign-in book, place notes on wishing well or direct to your photo booth.



*Go over final details of wedding either one week before or one day prior to wedding day.



*Set up only reception site such as favors, pictures, decorations etc. all to be provided to us 1 day before the wedding. We will pick up cake knives, toasting glasses, etc, etc and be given to the bride person of choice to take care of for the bride. This will be done after all the main events have been taken care of.



*Host/Hostess of event.



*Orchestrating Rehearsal and Ceremony Coordination (fee applies)



*Complete supervision of event to make sure everything is running smoothly and on time up until the main events have been taken care of until the start of dinner.



*Assist Bride, Groom and families with anything they need and any concerns they have with venue and vendors.



*Become your best friend through this journey. :)



Current client upgrades: Day of clients with 6 hours of event day coverage can now upgrade for 2 extra hours for an additional $100.00. Full service planning clients can now upgrade from your current package to the next corresponding package for an additional fee of $250.00 Disclaimer: In order to get our Black Friday deal you must book the services on Black Friday only!! Rosa and Michael's Wedding


Rosa and Michael exchanged vows on 9/8/12, It was such a pleasure working with such a beautiful couple both with amazing personalities. I truly enjoyed my time being their planner. Here are a few snap shots of their wedding reception!

My beautiful creation Jesiah 1st Birthday



I saved the best post for last today only because it's my son! For those that know me and know the story behind my son know that he is a miracle baby. What other way was I going to celebrate the first year of his life then to throw him a huge 1st Birthday party.
Jesiah was born on July 13th, 2011 and he was a 50/50 chance of a miscarriage, at 20 weeks weeks as a mother to be I was given to worse news any parent wants to hear. "Your son will be born with down syndrome" after months of crying and praying I knew deep down inside he was just fine. My god is huge and Jesiah is a perfect and healthy baby.
As an Event Planner you want to plan flawless and beautiful events all the time and as a mother you want the best for your children and,  I was honor that I was able to do just that for my own son's party. I've been planning this event since he was just one month old. Call me crazy all you want but it was all well worth it.

Elmo has a fish named Dorothy so I brought her to our party and I gave everyone their own Dorothy but out of goldfish crackers...
I love my kid table and all my other table decor everything came out soooo colorful just as I wanted it.









My cookie Monster cookie station filled with all kinds of cookies you could think of.







 My cake was very simply but had a lot of details, I added the building and all the characters on the street. One of my best friend's went into making cakes and this is her masterpiece.


 Another one of my friend just started her own cake shop too and she did these for the party. Which were a major hit...


 Add fun props to your party, I made my own photobooth and as all my guest came in they took a picture on Sesame Street.

 Our oh so fun and special guests. "Elmo and Cookie Monster" My son expression on his face when he saw these two was priceless. His smile and laughter was so precious to see....




 Too much excitement for the little guy right when we sang him "Happy Birthday" he went to sleep on us.


Mommy is no chef but sure outdid herself with these trays. We had Cookie Monster berries, Elmo Strawberries and Tomatoes, Oscar the Grouch Broccoli and Big Bird Pineapple and Cheese.
I must say "Thank you" to each and every single person and vendor that worked with me to make this event possible!
